Demonstration of osmosis in raisins: Put some dried raisins in a bowl. Partially fill it with water. After 10 minutes you will observe that the raisins swell up. This is due to endosmosis. Now put the swollen raisins in a concentrated salt solution. The raisins shrink as they lose water due to exosmosis.
